Ready for Action!

Remember that stupid ass crash I had in December? Yeah, the one where I crashed in the street & broke my collarbone. Well, the bike above is to blame. Well, not really the "bike," but the fact that I had it running as a Fixed Gear. Well I've now transformed it back into a Single Speed & it's ready for action. My collarbone is all healed up & I'm ready to go.

The bike is super dope right out of the box. But I did a few little tweaks to it to make it even more fresh. Put on a red chain, some red DX style BMX pedals, and some stylish prototype BMX style riser bars. So fresh...

Ok, it's like 78 degrees out here in Huntington Beach & the streets (and beach path!) are calling my name. Out.

Taiwan Whoop Dee Doos

I rode by this crazy whoop-de-doo set up in a park the other week when I was in Taiwan. It looked pretty fun to try to manual the whole thing. Or have like dueling manual races with some other peeps. But I was in Taiwan by myself. On a Fuji road bike. And with a healing broken collarbone. So I just stopped for 2 minutes, took some pics, and continued on. Until next time...
I am FINALLY back home in Cali. Ah, it feels nice to be home after being gone for 3 weeks. And I think my collarbone is healed up enough to hit the gym & get my ride on. I guess Sheep Hills has been completely built up. I'm down to get my shred on. I even heard that Cop Miranda (Robbie) has been hittin' the trails. Pics soon.

Now the Fun Begins

Ah, this is where it REALLY gets to be fun in the product development process. I am now seeing most all of the frames & forks with the paint & graphics I've chosen. It's easy to pick colors & whatnot on the computer. But once you see them in real life, then it's for reals. Sometimes it's like "Cool, those colors looks dope!" But other times it's like "Oh man, what was I thinking? Back to the drawing board." Ha ha...

For any of you SE buffs out there that plan to spread rumors of our 2010 colors, take note that the pic above is of the first round of color choices. I'm not showing pics of round two. Hmm, which colors changed? I ain't tellin'....

Damn Time Zones

Man, I just can't get out of the rut of falling asleep before 9pm here in Taiwan. Friday night just blew right past me 'cause I was zonked out by like 8:30pm. I guess that's what I get for waking up so dog-gone early every day. And of course, this morn I was up @ 3:30am. No joke. But man, it's Saturday morning now & I wanna go out & get loose tonight. Looks like I'll be napping laters.

Oh, and yeah, I'm getting picked up in 30 minutes (8am) for another day of work @ the factory. Yes, on a Saturday. Stupes.

I haven't taken a single pic on this trip except for the "Sunrise" ones. So I figured I'd post a pic that I took of Rob Dyrdek's dog when I rode with him for his new TV show. I think the dog one "Rob & Big" was named Meaty. This ain't the same dog. This one's name is Chicken Leg or something. I'm sure you'll this dog on his new TV show on MTV next month.

Early Morning Taiwan Styles

Ahh, nothing too fun & exciting to report from my trip to Taiwan so far. The weekend just blew by & I didn't do a damned thing. I was worked @ the factory all day on Saturday. And on Saturday night I was supposed to go to a club w/ some sexy Asian girls. But I was too freakin' tired & passed out before 9pm. And then I spent the entire day on Sunday in my hotel room chillin' & working on the spec of next year's bikes. I don't want to ride quite yet 'cause of my broken collarbone. I know that if I ride, I'm gonna be bunnyhoppin' up curbs & aggravating it. So it was a "do nothing in Taiwan" type of weekend for me.

One good thing about going to bed so early is that I'm always up before the sunrise. And as you can see by the pics above that I took out of my hotel window, it's kind of pretty here in the early AM.
